Who was the last Senator from New York from upstate?
The last Senator elected from New York State not from the major metro NY area was Kenneth Keating from Rochester, who served one term 1959-1965. Charles Goodell from Chataqua County (Jamestown, near Buffalo) served the remainder of Robert Kennedy's term after he was asinated.
