Why are Americans easily scared?

I thought we were the land of the brave. We label ourselves as cowboys, steers, and now mavericks; yet, we’re easily scared by the media and government officials. They tell us things like “we can’t let the terrorists invade our backyards” and suddenly gun sales go up. We’re told that “illegal immigrants are taking our jobs” and a militia forms to go and try to stop them. Someone says that Obama used to be a Muslim and all of the sudden “Al-Qaida is going to take over the U.S.” It’s no wonder that Orson Wells successfully panicked America with his radio show “War of the Worlds.” The country actually believed we were being invaded by aliens. So, can we please stop being gullible? I’m more scared of dumb Americans than I am terrorists. Why? Because those are the people that elect unqualified presidents and actually believe God is blessing us……..
