Is political correctness a short term goal........?

well..these words are part of english and will keep changing much like the english language itself. The english language changes so fast that people have to keep up with it. english today is very different now than 10 years ago. The common mistakes people make is starting to become acceptable rules approved by colleges. New words like computer jargon is created and old words that people never use anymore gets tossed away. Names like fire fighter and firemen basically mean the same thing except that more and more people are using fire fighter because it's basically more correct. lol..I have a hard time keeping up with these terms too. Like what my english professor said, when you find yourself really lost and can't keep up, that's when you know you're old.
